Could Network Marketing Work For Me?
Category:I don’t know about you, but I’ve become hyper sensitive to too-good-to-be-true sales pitches…sick of telemarketers asking for money…tired of those calls where a recorded message tells me not to hang up because this call could change my life…blah, blah, blah.
So how about a no nonsense totally open and honest conversation for a legitimate business you can run from your home.
Let me address a few questions right off the bat that you may be thinking…
Yes, it’s network marketing.
Yes, we sell health and wellness products.
Yes, people really can and do earn money and there’s a potential to earn substantial career income.
Yes, you’ll want to talk to your friends and family about it…but you really don’t have to.
Yes, we have a system and a team to support you so it’s more about educating than selling. You’re actually a guide or a coach.
So you can stop reading now if you have an aversion to any of those things because I’m not interested in convincing you that this is a great business. Because it is. And it has been for nearly 70 years.
My grandmother became a distributor in 1964 and never looked back. Thank goodness because our network marketing organization now does 1.6 million in sales every month. That’s a lot of product and a lot of money, not just for us but also for our business partners. Since I used the word distributor, let me say something about it. That’s a term that implies carrying an inventory of products and delivering or shipping them to customers. Thank goodness we no longer have to do that. The company takes care of all that stuff. So instead of being distributors we are actually ambassadors because what we do is share, educate and recommend. So go figure, we’re now called Ambassadors, which is actually more fitting.
Let’s be real…Network marketing isn’t for everyone. I believe part of the problem is that most people don’t really understand how it works. Some people have never heard of it and some people have preconceived ideas about what it is.
So let me give you a basic explanation.
Network marketing is a profession based on a distribution model. The middle man is eliminated. Products go directly from the manufacturer to the customer with the help of an ambassador. So basically, the ambassador does the advertising because network marketing companies use the money that would have gone to advertising and give it to their ambassadors. Everyone who becomes an ambassador has the same opportunity to build a large business as everyone else.
It’s been referred to as ‘word of mouth marketing’, ‘relationship marketing’, or most recently “social selling’.
Most people like to do business with someone they know, like, and trust. Think about it, if you had a friend who owned a restaurant, wouldn’t you go to their restaurant more often than other restaurants? (Assuming the food is actually good.)
Or if you had a friend who opened a gym, you’d probably join.
My husband and I got our first life insurance policies from the spouse of a friend and bought a set of Cutco knives from their daughter. We like doing business with friends, or friends of friends.
And when you’re looking for a new doctor or an attorney or a financial planner, don’t you usually ask a friend if they know someone? It’s just what we do.
The power of network marketing is in the opportunity to develop asset income (passive income, residual income, royalties). Basically each ambassador benefits not only on their efforts but on the efforts of their team. It’s called leveraging. In our personal business, only 5% of our income comes from our own efforts. 95% comes from our business organization. You can’t do that in a traditional business model.
The products have to be good. Companies with inferior products don’t last long and health and wellness products are big business. Almost everyone today wants better health and people are becoming more and more educated. People want safe alternatives to chemical household cleaners. The weight loss industry alone is at nearly $70 billion and the global nutrition industry in general is over $200 billion. Let’s face it, we want a good doctor when we break a leg, but what most people really want is to stay healthy so we can stay out of the doctors office. But we’ve got to be careful. Not all information is valid and not all products are safe and effective.
And the tax benefits for having your own home based business are pretty awesome.
We have a very cool system that we can show you if you want to explore the network marketing business opportunity. No gimmicks. No pressure. No bull. No hype.
